Steve joined the firm as an equity member in January of 2007 and is primarily responsible for Blair, Bohlé & Whitsitt, PLLC’s assurance and accounting services. Steve’s experience consists of providing accounting and assurance services to a wide variety of governmental, not-for-profit and corporate entities and tax compliance services for corporations, partnerships, and individuals. Steve’s special interest in not-for-profit as well as state and local governmental services extends the breadth of the Firm’s defining qualities. Steve became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in South Carolina in July 1984 and received reciprocal licenses in the states of Alabama (1993) and North Carolina (2005) and has provided accounting services in the Charlotte market since 2004. Steve currently maintains active memberships with the AICPA, NCACPA, SCACPA and ASCPA.

Steve received his Bachelor degree with a major in accounting from the Florida State University. In 1982, Steve began his public accounting career with a regional accounting firm for whom he eventually became the managing partner of the Montgomery, Alabama office.
